Chronicle of the Stairs

Knights Council #10961 answered the request of the widow of deceased Knight Clarence Boitnott to repair the unstable exterior stairs leading to her patio. The wood was rotted in several places and was in danger of breaking free with weight on it.

A group of Knights from #10961 took on the responsibility to help this widow. Replacing much of the stair case reinforcing it has given confidence to Elizabeth Boitnott when she goes into her back yard using the stair case. This group of Knights was led by Knight Marcelo Noguera (owner GM Handyman LLC). Other participating knights were Phil “Saw-man” Georgen , Dave “Brush-man” Beckingham, Tony “Gray Hand” Anderson, Robert Bruchez, Rob Engelhardt, Frank Schaffer, Bob Patton.

Everyone pitched in but it was Marcelo who knew what and how to accomplish this job. It was much like a surgeon in an operating room barking orders to the surgical staff.

The job started at 9:00am. Many of the helpers left at noon as the fabrication was completed. The painting team remained and finished at 1:30pm.
